Corrections policy
A correction is a change to a published figure, constituent list or text that alters what a reader would have concluded from it.
- Each correction appears here and on the affected paper or series page. The notice records the date, affected items, original and corrected values, and reason for the change.
- Original vintages are preserved unchanged, with corrections published alongside them.
- Typographical changes, formatting changes and link repairs that leave conclusions unaffected are entered in the changelog without a correction notice.
- Suspected errors can be reported to corrections@idms.org. Reports are acknowledged within [five working days]. The Institute publishes its conclusion in every case, including when no correction is made.
